If you're tight on space, our custom-built-to-order 18"x24" laminar flow hood may be exactly the right size. This flow hood features an 18” x 24” x 6” 99.99 to .3 microns HEPA filter and is powered by a Dayton or comparable centrifugal blower and includes a pre-filter. The unit is constructed from half-inch cabinet-grade birch plywood (no formaldehyde or VOC) cut using lapped miter routers that create self-indexing joints. This improved construction process provides more surface area for adhesion, resulting in a superior bond and airtight construction. The cabinet has two coats of low-VOC water-based polyurethane finish, creating a low-maintenance surface. An aluminum grill protects the HEPA filter. The grill can be removed for easy replacement of the HEPA filter when the time comes, typically after five years of average use. Overall dimensions are 25"x20"x32", weighing in at 70 pounds. Comes fully assembled, ready to plug and play thanks to the top-mounted switch.

First things first, the flow hood is super quality. I haven't been able to test the contamination rate or anything like that, but it's super sturdy and easy to use. Story time: The hood was shipped a bit after it was supposed to be so it arrived while I wasn't home. Cougar went above and beyond to try to get the shipping company to hold the item. I believe his agent called the company almost 20 times and they did not respond. This was a 3rd party shipping company that was hired by the Estes which is what Cougar uses. This was definitely a "local" issue and I'm still giving 5 stars because Cougar even called me to figure out how to receive the package. The hood still arrived in mint condition and was packaged very well.

Flow hood arrived on time and in perfect condition. The shipping cougar uses is phenomenal and their communication was very transparent. I could not be happier about the overall quality.
