Pink oyster mushrooms grow in layered clusters similar to their gray and yellow relatives. Their pink color helps them stand out. The pink does change to an orange brown color when cooked. The mushroom caps are meaty in texture, despite their thin flesh. The flavor intensifies when cooked. The aroma is pungent, which is very characteristic of the oyster mushroom.
